TEDx SPEAKER AUTHOR YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE
I'm a high school senior at Westwood High School, Austin, TX, USA and an avid decoder of biases that shape human perceptions.
In 2022, I started Detoximind, a peer support movement for stressed and isolated youth.
2024 was a big year for me. I debuted on the TEDx stage in March, my very first novel launched in the summer and I had the opportunity to be a guest speaker on six podcasts. I'm super thrilled that my TEDx talk has created 58,000+ impressions, and my novel won the Gold medal for "2024 Best Book by Youth" by the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards.

My first novel
"I am not who you see" is the story of Veda,
a spirited nine-year-old girl from India. Veda's life
goes through a jarring shift when her parents decide to emigrate to America and build a new life there.
Despite her woes about leaving India, she hopes
for adventure in a new country. Veda's hopes are crushed as her first year in an American elementary school brings her prejudice and alienation from her new classmates. The second school year turns into a devastating nightmare of public shame and humiliation.
Adolescent Veda must navigate the adversities of being an immigrant and hope to find acceptance. Will she fit in by concealing who she is or choose to remain true to herself?
